Wavy Hair Extensions

Naturally wavy hair is the hardest texture to buy extensions for. Straight hair sold as wavy is set with heat and drops out within a few washes. Everything here holds its wave pattern permanently, because the hair is wavy rather than styled that way.

Three wave patterns

• 2B/2A Soft Wave. A loose, natural bend. This is the one to choose if your own hair air dries with a slight wave rather than a defined S.
• 2C/2B Water Wave. A defined S wave that holds without product. Our most popular pattern and the best all-rounder.
• 2C/3A Deep Wave. A deeper, springier wave running into a loose curl. For hair that sits between wavy and curly.

If you are unsure, look at your hair on a day you have let it dry naturally with nothing in it. That is your true pattern. Most people who think they are straight are actually a 2A or 2B.

Every fitting method

Wavy hair is available across the range, so you can match the pattern whichever way you wear extensions.

• Wavy clip in hair extensions. 100g sets at 16 to 20 inches, 150g sets at 20 to 24 inches. No appointment, in and out in ten minutes.
• Wavy nano bond extensions. 50g of individually bonded strands, fitted by a stylist, worn for eight to twelve weeks.
• Wavy weft bundles. For sew-in and hand-tied fitting.

Length and wave

Wave shortens hair. A 20 inch water wave set hangs noticeably shorter than a 20 inch straight set, and the deeper the pattern the bigger the difference. If you are moving from straight extensions to wavy at the same length, expect it to look around two inches shorter. Going one length up usually gets you back to where you wanted to be.

Keeping the wave

Wash with a sulphate free shampoo, scrunch rather than rub, and let it air dry or diffuse on low. Do not brush wavy extensions when dry. A wide tooth comb through conditioner in the shower is enough. Heat styling is fine occasionally with a protectant, and the wave returns after the next wash.
