Curly and textured hair extensions, made from 100% Remy human hair
Finding hair extensions that blend with curly, coily or textured hair is harder than it should be. Most ranges are built for straight European hair and are matched on colour alone, which is why so many people end up with extensions that sit on top of their hair instead of disappearing into it.
WAVE is built the other way round. Every order is matched on texture as well as colour, across 60+ shades and 6 textures, in lengths from 16 to 24 inches. All of it is 100% Remy human hair, which means the cuticles all run in one direction, so it can be washed, styled and heat treated like your own.
Choose the fitting method that suits your hair
Nano bond hair extensions use the smallest bonds we make and are the most discreet option for finer hair. K-tip and flat tip extensions are keratin bonded and long lasting. Tape-in hair extensions are quick to fit and easy to move up. Weft hair extensions suit thicker hair and can be sewn or beaded in. Clip-in hair extensions need no salon appointment at all.
How much hair do you need for a full head?
Most people need around 150g for a full head, which is three 50g packs. One pack on its own adds volume or length in a single area rather than covering the whole head, so if you are after a full transformation, plan for three. For a breakdown of what that costs, read our guide to how much hair extensions cost in the UK.

Curly hair extensions, your questions answered
What are the best hair extensions for curly hair?
The ones matched to your curl pattern, not just your colour. Hair that has been set on a rod reverts to straight after a few washes. WAVE grades every range from 2A wavy through to 4C coily, so the curl is the hair's own texture and still blends after washing.
Can you get hair extensions for Afro and coily hair?
Yes. WAVE stocks 4A to 4C textures including Kinky Curly, Burmese Curly and Jerry Curl, in nano bonds, weft bundles and tape ins. These are the patterns most UK suppliers skip, which is why so many clients with type 4 hair are told to straighten their own hair first.
How do you match hair extensions to a curl pattern?
Judge the client's hair washed and air dried, then find it on the 2A to 4C scale. If they sit between two patterns, buy the looser one. Straighter hair under a wavier natural layer disappears into it, while a tighter texture under looser hair pulls apart and shows the join.
Which fitting method is best for curly hair?
Nano bonds are the most discreet and suit finer hair. Tape ins are the fastest to fit and lie flattest, but need a smooth root. Weft bundles hold the most weight and suit thicker hair. Clip ins need no appointment at all. All four are stocked in curly and coily textures.
How much hair do you need for a full head?
Around 150g for a full head, which is three 50g packs. One pack on its own adds volume or length in a single area rather than covering the whole head. Curly and coily hair usually needs a little more than straight, because the curl takes up visual length.
Is WAVE hair 100% human hair?
Yes. Every range is 100% Remy human hair, which means the cuticles all run root to tip in one direction. That is what allows it to be washed, heat styled and coloured like your own hair instead of matting after a few weeks.
Does WAVE supply salons and stylists on trade?
Yes. Trade pricing is available to salons, self employed stylists and salon suite renters, with no minimum order. Accounts are approved before trade prices show. See trade accounts for salons and stylists.
Where is WAVE based and how does delivery work?
WAVE is UK based and ships across the United Kingdom, with free UK delivery on orders over £100 and Klarna available at checkout. Ready to Ship items are held in stock. Made to order items show their dispatch date before you pay.
