This is the middle of our wave family: the S is properly formed and you can see where each bend begins and ends, but it never closes into a ring. Judge yours on day two, when visible S shapes unrefreshed mean 1C/2B, a soft bend means Soft Wave and tight loops mean Deep Wave.

Between grades the safer move is downwards, because a looser wave works tighter as it dries while a firmer one reads as a separate texture beside your roots.

Each bond carries only a little hair, so fitting is slow and methodical. That is what makes it kind to fine hair: the ring is smaller than a micro ring, the lining cushions the strand, and no heat or glue reaches the scalp. Maintenance falls every four to eight weeks.

A formed S dries best undisturbed. Squeeze the water out, work a light leave in through the mid lengths, then air dry or diffuse low. Never brush it dry, as that breaks the S into frizz. A wide tooth comb under conditioner is enough.

A defined S eats more length than a soft bend, so what you order is not what hangs. On a 20 inch set expect to wear roughly an inch and a half to two inches shorter once dry.
