Damage Repair Mask
Daily Leave-In Elixir - Vanilla Scent
Shop by hair product: the WAVE aftercare range sorted by what each item is, rather than by what it fixes. Shampoo and conditioner, deep masks, leave-in sprays, oils and serums, curl gel and creme, heat protection and two brushes.
Formats are not interchangeable, which is the reason for sorting this way. A mask and a leave-in conditioner sound alike and do opposite jobs: one goes on in the shower and comes off, the other stays.
The formats and what each is for
- Shampoo and conditioner, the wash itself
- Masks, weekly deep treatments that rinse out
- Leave-in sprays and elixirs, daily softening between washes
- Serum, a finishing coat for smoothness on dry hair
- Gel and creme, curl definition
- Heat protection, before every hot tool without exception
- Brushes, one for straight and wavy, one for curly and coily
Sorted by symptom instead at Shop by Hair Concern, with the background on Hair Care and the two brushes on Hair Brushes.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a mask and a leave-in?
A mask is a concentrated treatment left on for five to ten minutes and rinsed out, used weekly. A leave-in is lighter, stays in the hair and is used far more often.
Which products should a stylist stock first?
Shampoo, conditioner and a heat protection spray. Those three cover what every client does between appointments, and they are what causes damage if the client buys wrong on the high street.
Do I need a serum and an oil, or will one do?
One will do for most people. The serum is a silicone based finisher for dry hair and the elixir is an argan oil based leave-in. Keep both off the roots.
