Deep wave is the tightest and most defined of our three wave textures, sitting right on the line between a wave and a curl. It suits 2C to 3B natural hair and is the texture to choose if your own hair curls rather than bends.

If water wave and body wave both look too loose next to your natural texture, deep wave is the one. The pattern is close, uniform and full of definition, which means it blends with genuinely curly hair rather than sitting on top of it looking obviously added.

What does deep wave hair look like?

A tight, consistent S-pattern that repeats closely along the strand and forms clear curl clumps when scrunched. It carries more volume than either body wave or water wave, and holds definition without product in a way looser textures do not.

Looking after deep wave extensions

Tighter patterns dry out faster, so moisture matters more here than on the looser waves. Wash once or twice a week with a sulphate-free shampoo, deep condition weekly, detangle only when damp and only from the ends up, and never brush it dry.
