Unlined nano rings for hair extensions, 1000 per tub at 2.5mm to 3mm. There is no silicone inner wall here, so the bead closes directly onto the hair and gives a firmer, more positive bite than a lined ring. Some stylists simply prefer that feel and can judge their crimp better without a cushion in the way.

The main reason to choose these, though, is sensitivity. A small number of clients react to the silicone lining in standard rings, usually reported as itching or irritation around the parting rather than anything dramatic. Swapping to an unlined bead removes that variable entirely while keeping the same fitting method.

What is in the tub:

  • 1000 unlined nano rings, 2.5mm to 3mm
  • No silicone lining
  • Shades: Blonde, Brown, Dark Brown, Black
  • Fitting method: nano bond and I-tip strand extensions

Because there is no cushioning, technique matters more. Close the bead square across its flat face in one clean squeeze rather than nibbling at it, and keep your section size small and consistent. Over crimping an unlined ring is the quickest way to score a strand, so ease off the pressure slightly compared with what you would use on a lined bead.

On very fine or previously chemically processed hair, our silicone lined nano rings are the safer default. Keep both on the shelf and let the consultation decide. Match the bead shade to the root rather than the extension, since the ring sits at the scalp and is judged against the hair growing out of it. Stylists restocking rings by the tub can apply for a trade account.

Why would I choose nano rings with no silicone?

Two reasons. Some clients report irritation from silicone lined beads and an unlined ring removes that possibility. Others simply want a firmer, more direct grip on the hair, which unlined rings give because nothing sits between the bead and the strand.

Are unlined rings harder on the hair?

They can be if you over crimp them, because there is no cushion to spread the pressure. Use a slightly lighter squeeze than you would on a lined bead, keep your sections small and even, and check the bond lies flat before moving on. On very fine hair the lined version is the safer choice.

What size are these rings?

They run 2.5mm to 3mm, which is the standard nano gauge and small enough to stay invisible in most hair densities. They fit nano bond and I-tip strands and are closed with standard bent nose extension pliers.
