These curly hair bundles are properly curly, not wavy. The 3A/3B Deep Wave forms a defined loop close to the root and holds it the whole way down, tighter and springier than our 2C/3A. Every bundle is 100% double drawn Remy human hair on a machine sewn weft, made for clients with genuinely curly hair who are tired of being sold waves.
3A/3B means a loop about the circumference of a marker pen at 3A, narrowing towards a pencil at 3B, present from the top of the strand rather than appearing halfway down. Test on dry, product free hair: if you can pick out individual spirals near the scalp, this is her pattern, and if those first inches ripple instead, order the 2C/3A. For a client sitting between the two, choose the looser texture, since tightening a loose curl with cream and a diffuser is simple and making a tight curl behave like a loose one is not.
Remy sorting keeps every strand pointing the same way, root to tip, so the cuticles lie in one direction along the weft. On curly hair that matters more than on straight, because curved strands rub together constantly and misaligned cuticles would lock into knots within weeks.

Fit by sew-in on a braided track, braidless weave or microring row. Keep the top row low enough that the curl has somewhere to sit without pushing her own hair upwards, and leave a decent margin of natural hair above it, because a defined curl separates and will expose a row placed too high. Do not thin the weft with texturising shears. Three bundles to 20 inches, four from 22 inches, as the curl takes up length a straight bundle would show.
Sulphate free shampoo at the roots only, conditioner through the lengths, and detangle in the shower with a wide tooth comb while the conditioner is still in, ends first. Never take a brush to it dry. Squeeze water out with a t-shirt, apply curl cream to soaking hair, then diffuse cool or air dry without touching it while it sets. Satin at night. Up to nine months is normal.
Length behaves differently on a curl this defined. A 20 inch set commonly wears at around 15 to 16 inches, so a client asking for waist length needs the 30 inch, not the length matching her target on a tape measure.
How is this different from the 2C/3A deep curly wave?
This one is curly from the root, with a smaller, springier loop that holds to the ends. The 2C/3A starts as a wave at the root and only becomes a loose curl further down. Put simply, 3A/3B is curly hair and 2C/3A is wavy hair that ends in curl. Match on the first three inches from her scalp.
Do curly bundles need more hair than straight ones?
Not in weight, but in length. Three bundles is still a standard full head to 20 inches and four from 22 inches. What changes is the length you order, because a defined curl can hang four or five inches shorter than measured. Buying short is the commonest cause of a disappointed client.
Can the curl be brushed out for a fuller look?
Only on dry hair with fingers or a pick, worked from the ends upwards, and only where the client wants volume rather than definition. A brush through a dry 3A/3B set separates every loop into frizz and it will not recover until the next wash. Never use a bristle brush on this texture.
How do I keep the pattern fresh between washes?
Refresh rather than rewash. Water in a spray bottle with a little leave-in, scrunched in section by section, brings the loops back without stripping the hair. Sleep in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase, with the hair gathered loosely on top so the curls are not crushed flat.
