Moisturising Shampoo - Watermelon Scent
A sulphate free shampoo for hair extensions, 250ml, scented with watermelon. The reason a normal shampoo is the wrong choice is simple. Extension hair is cut off, so nothing replenishes it. Your scalp cannot send oil down a weft or a bonded strand the way it does your own hair, and every wash with a harsh detergent takes away moisture that will never come back on its own.
Sulphates are efficient at lifting oil, which is exactly the problem. On extensions they strip the little conditioning that is there and leave the mid-lengths dry, dull and prone to tangling within weeks. This formula cleanses without them, using milder surfactants alongside aloe vera, argan oil and evening primrose oil.

How to wash extensions: apply a small amount to wet hair and concentrate it on the scalp, where the oil actually is. Massage with the pads of your fingers, never your nails, and do not scrub at the attachment points. Let the lather rinse down the length rather than piling the hair on top of your head, which is how matting starts. Rinse thoroughly and repeat only if the hair still feels coated.
Precautions: in case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly. Follow with our matching moisturising conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends.
Why do I need a sulphate free shampoo for hair extensions?
Because extension hair has no oil supply. Your scalp cannot feed a weft or a bonded strand, so anything a harsh detergent strips out is gone for good. Sulphate free cleansing removes dirt and product without taking the remaining moisture with it, which is what keeps a set soft for its full lifespan.
How often should I wash my hair extensions?
Two or three times a week is plenty for most people. Washing daily dries the hair out and works at the bonds far more than it needs to. If your roots get oily between washes, focus the shampoo on the scalp only and rinse it through the length rather than lathering the ends.
Can I use this on my natural hair as well?
Yes. There is nothing in it that only suits extensions, and washing your own hair and your extensions with the same gentle shampoo keeps the whole head consistent. It suits colour treated natural hair for the same reason it suits extensions.
