Curl Defining Gel - Orange Fragrance
A 300ml curl defining gel with a strong hold, orange scented, for curly and coily hair extensions. Gel is what turns a damp curl into a defined one. Without something to hold the shape while it dries, a curl clump falls apart as the water leaves and you end up with volume and frizz instead of pattern.
The difficulty with most gels is the trade-off. Enough hold to define usually means a crunchy, brittle finish that flakes when touched. This one dries fast to a semi-matte cast that you break by scrunching, leaving the curl held in shape but soft to the hand. It rinses out cleanly with shampoo, which matters on extensions where product build-up at the bonds becomes a problem quickly.

How to use it: apply to soaking wet or towel-dried curls, never dry ones. Rake it through a section then scrunch upwards to encourage the clump to form. Air dry undisturbed or diffuse on a low speed, and do not touch the hair while it dries. Once it is completely dry, scrunch the cast out with your palms.

What does scrunching out the cast mean?
When gel dries it forms a firm shell around each curl clump, which is what holds the shape. Once the hair is completely dry, squeezing it gently in your palms breaks that shell without disturbing the curl underneath. The result is a defined curl that feels soft rather than crispy.
Can I use gel on hair extensions?
Yes, provided you keep it to the length and off the attachment points. Product that dries hard at a nano ring or tape tab makes the bond feel rough and encourages tangling around it. Apply from a few inches below the attachment down to the ends.
Should I apply this to wet or dry hair?
Wet, or at most towel-dried. Gel needs water in the hair to distribute and to let the curl clump form as it dries. Applied to dry curls it sits on the surface, separates the pattern and gives a patchy, crunchy result.
