Curl this tight needs sections planned around where the hair sits once it springs up, not how it looks stretched in the chair. Each ring takes a small section plus the extension strand and is clamped shut. A small bond with no heat or adhesive stays viable where the hair beneath is fine.
Handling ruins a 3B/4A pattern, so keep it minimal. Wash sulphate free and detangle only under conditioner, from the ends up. Never dry brush. Apply curl cream to soaking wet hair, scrunch, then diffuse low. A bonnet protects the clumps. Rebook at four to eight week intervals.
This pattern takes up more length than anything else in the nano bond range. A 20 inch set does not wear near 20 inches once the spirals form, and the difference can run to several inches. Order longer than the finish you want. This is also the one texture where the range carries on past 24 inch, with 26, 28 and 30 inch all available, so there is room to size up.
How much shorter will Burmese Curly look than the length I order?
Considerably shorter, because the spiral uses up length as it coils. It is the tightest pattern in our nano bond range, so the gap between measured length and worn length is the largest here. Most clients order one or two sizes above the finish they want.
Can I straighten Burmese Curly hair extensions?
It is human hair so it will press straight, but we would not advise making a habit of it. Repeated heat on a tight spiral loosens the curl permanently and it does not come back. If you want straight hair regularly, buy a straight or kinky straight set.
What is the difference between Burmese Curly and Loose Kinky Curly?
Burmese Curly at 3B/4A is a defined spiral that clumps into visible curl sections. Loose Kinky Curly is an open coil, type 4 with more movement and less structure. Burmese reads as curly and defined, while loose kinky curly reads fuller and softer at the edges.
Do nano bonds work under this much curl?
They work very well. The bonds are tiny and this density of curl hides them completely, better than any straight texture can. There is no heat and no glue in the fitting, which keeps the method gentle on fine hair, and the lining protects the strand inside.
