Deep Wave curly clip in hair extensions are graded 2C/3A: a deeper, springier wave than our Water Wave, running from a firm bend at the root into a loose curl through the ends. The set is 100g of double drawn Remy human hair in 16, 18 and 20 inch, on clips, so it goes in without an appointment and comes out the same evening.
2C/3A is the point where wave stops being wave and starts becoming curl. It belongs with hair that dries into loose spirals, with 3A worn its natural shape, and with 2C hair that wants more definition than it has. Between this and the Water Wave, the rule is the same as always: matching a shade looser than your own hair blends kindly, while going tighter draws a line between what is yours and what is not.

Nape first, then upwards in rows, with a light backcomb at each root and the middle clip closed before the outer ones. Curl is the best cover there is for a weft: the pattern lifts away from the scalp and throws shadow, so the top edge of each row vanishes in a way it never quite does under straight hair.
No dry brushing, ever. Fingers to separate, and a wide tooth comb only with conditioner slipping through the hair. Sulphate free wash, cool water, no rubbing, air dry. Out at night, every night, coiled loosely rather than pressed flat.
Curl spends length before it reaches your shoulders. A 20 inch Deep Wave weft measures 20 inch pulled taut and wears noticeably shorter once the spring returns, more so than the Water Wave does, because a deeper pattern takes a bigger bite.
What is the difference between Deep Wave and Water Wave?
Depth. Water Wave is 2C/2B, a broad S that stays flat to the head. Deep Wave is 2C/3A, a tighter and springier pattern that lifts at the root and finishes in a loose curl. Deep Wave gives more volume and more shrinkage. Water Wave gives more length for the same measurement.
Can I wash it and get the curl back?
Yes. The pattern is the hair's own, not a set style, so it returns each time the hair dries. Wash gently, scrunch upwards as you squeeze the water out, then leave it alone. Touching it while it dries is what causes frizz, not the washing itself.
Is a clip in set a good way to try curly hair?
It is the best way. You get a full head of 2C/3A for an evening with nothing bonded to your hair, so you find out whether the pattern suits your face and your morning routine before you spend on nano bonds or tapes. If it is wrong, you take it off.
Will the wefts show in curly hair?
Far less than in straight hair. Curl breaks up the straight line of the weft and casts shadow over it, so rows sit hidden even when they are placed a little higher than usual. Keep the top row below your parting anyway and no one will find it.
